Anne Lagercrantz appointed new CEO of Sveriges Television
Anne Lagercrantz, currently Deputy CEO at Sveriges Television (SVT), has been appointed SVT’s new CEO. She will take over the role from Hanna Stjärne on November 1.

One of Sweden’s most accomplished media executives, Anne Lagercrantz has previously held roles as Head of TV4 News, Head of the national newsroom Ekot at Swedish Radio, and head of SVT's News and Sports division.

Anne Lagercrantz is currently Deputy CEO with overarching responsibility for AI at SVT, for the development of SVT’s digital services, for the company’s security and crisis preparedness as well as for analysis, data and planning. She is also Chair of the Swedish news publishers’ body Utgivarna and Vice-Chair of the Constructive Institute at Aarhus University.

Anne Lagercrantz will become the CEO of SVT on 1 November.

- Degree in political science at Stockholm University and studies in political communication at Lewis & Clark College in Oregon, USA.
- Began working as a journalist at TV3 and Expressen.
- Has been Head of TV4 Nyheterna, Head of the national newsroom Ekot at Swedish Radio, as well as Head of SVT News and Sport.
- 50 years old, has three children and is married to David, who is a writer.
- Grew up in the Stockholm suburb Högdalen, now lives in Stockholm's inner city.
